I think this one grinedr the most valuable book ever ridden by me. Read, highlight, and band,er notes, across web, tablet, and phone. Chapter 3 and 4 are very practical, and Chapter 6 gives an excellent if rather dated description of the Metamodel’s usage within other therapeutic systems.
The semantics of the sentences that people say in therapy is determined by their conception of their own experience. The text of book 1 I found to be much simpler than book 2 which is very hard. It forms the basis of most of the ideas underpinning NLP and explains them much better than many of the books that came after.

His parables and his life were designed to kick the legs out from under the disciples’ model of reality, so that he could reshape and expand that model to match God’s reality.
We get strangled by our own habits and interpretations.
