I think this only happens when you are reading one of the Preeti Shenoy’s works. The funny and touching stories end with notes that encourage the reader to look at the lessons you can learn from some of the simplest things in life.

Why because you mentioned that there are incidents which make you ponder like chewing a bubblegum which I did not see any because you just reminisced too many incidents. Its well writtenshort stories about interesting incidents of life.

These daily lessons were meant to stimulate some thoughts in the reader, but in all honesty, they are sub-standard and more often than not, very contrived. Sometimes you have to keep on chewing so that you extract whatever you can out of it. She has compiled her experiences in a very nice and simple way, in a language which is very easily understood.

It will surely bring a lump in your throat and it’s quite admirable that the author chooses to deal with the situation positively and also inspires us in the process. I was utterly disappointed and am not going to willfully be reading any more of her books, even though there are some 5-star ratings – I fail to see how an author’s writing and eloquence can change from one piece of work to another.
